Simple sourdough for real family life

As a busy mum of three, I know just how full family life can be, a constant rhythm of school runs, nap times, work, clubs and everything in between. For a long time, baking felt like something reserved for slower days, not something that could fit into the middle of it all. But over time, I found a different way.

I’ve learnt how to build simple, flexible routines that allow me to bake fresh, delicious bread, pizzas and sweet treats alongside everyday life.

There’s no need for perfection here, and no complicated processes. Just real-life sourdough that works around busy homes, even with interruptions, changing schedules, and the occasional family holiday.

Through my workshops, I share the recipes and routines that we use at home — simple, family-tested bakes that take the pressure out of sourdough and make it something you can genuinely enjoy.  Because feeding your family food free from additives shouldn’t feel like another job on the list, it should fit into your life, not the other way around.

I'll admit things aren't always easy, that's the point, though! It's about fitting what you happily can into your own little corner of chaos!

Shared Success

Learning to make sourdough with Sarah guiding me was such an enjoyable morning.  What started as something that felt intimidating has quickly become one of my favourite things to do, all because of her patience and encouragement. Sarah has such a natural way of explaining the process—breaking it down step by step while still making it feel creative and fun.

Thanks to her, I’ve not only learned a new skill but also gained a real appreciation for the time, care, and craft that goes into every loaf. Every time I bake now, I think of the tips that were shared (and the laughs we had along the way). I’m so grateful this was passed on to me!

Wonderful morning learning how to make sourdough from Sarah in her beautiful home!

As a complete beginner, I really appreciated the hands-on experience,  clear instructions, helpful tips and reassurance that anyone can make a tasty sourdough loaf and delicious crumpets 😋.

Excited to continue my sourdough journey, thanks Sarah!

I can't thank Sarah enough for her introduction to sourdough baking. I'd always wanted to make my own bread, but never had the courage to give it a go. Sarah is so patient and knowledgeable, and with her guidance, I now feel much more confident and am loving experimenting with my own sourdough creations.

Sarah's session was brilliant- very well organised with practical demonstrations and great explanations, all in the comfort of her lovely home. I had such a great morning and am so pleased I gave this a go - you won't regret it!

The Simplicity of the Bake

Sourdough really isn’t as intimidating as it seems—I promise, it’s surprisingly forgiving. You don’t need to be baking perfect artisan loaves every day; life is busy, and sourdough can fit around that—whether that’s batch baking, adapting methods to suit your day, or embracing the occasional imperfect loaf (which still tastes delicious). I’ve spent years working out how to make sourdough fit into real, busy lives, and I’d love to show you how.
